1841 Census Look up - Richard YOUERS

Dear All,
I am looking for the 1841 census entry for Richard YOUERS, could be spelt YOURES, often transcribed Youens

He should be aged about 15 or 16. He should be in the Wycombe area.

Glad to help Robert.  For some unknown reason couldn't find it on Ancestry but I could on findmypast.com. Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Had to go back with the reference number to find it on Ancestry.

Do these services allow you to view the original. I would love to know if the name was actually Youens or transcribed incorrectly from Youers. The original of the bmd index for Richard's marriage is spelt as Youres so that is another complication.

I went back and had a look at the originals and it does actually look like Youens so the transcription was right.  Undecided

I can't actually save a bit of the original to show you here so will post in common room.
