Elgin High Street again
« on: Tuesday 13 March 07 20:04 UTC (UK) »

I just joined this site and saw a long-finished discussion about addresses on the High St. in Elgin that got me wondering about 114C and 114E High St, both former addresses for people in my family half a century ago. Does anyone know if these are still lived in and what is in the main address at 114? In the late forties and the fifties it was a shop.

Thanks!

Thank you! I'd really appreciate it.

I know that in the 40s and 50s, 114 (A, presumably) was "Mary Hall's shop" and there was a shoemaker's at 114E downstairs from the living quarters. I'm really interested to know what you find out. Smiley
