(more) GREENWAY's
« on: Tuesday 13 March 07 20:10 UTC (UK) »

Hi again .... I have found what I think and hope maybe the birth/christening entry for George Greenway in 1784.   Shocked Cheesy

Unfortunately, on the census returns, he has shown his POB as Veryan

I found his marriage entry to Susanna Pascoe in the Marriages at St veryan, from Phillimore Parish registers, and it says "George Greenway of RuanLanihorn"  Huh

The entry I found on the IGI site is for George Greenway of St Kew, Cornwall.  The Parents are George Greenway (go figure!!) and Jane Lobb.

Is there any way or any site I can confirm this is the right one please?  Or, can anyone tell me if St Kew is the same as Veryan/Ruanlanihorne ?

There are some fantastic online sites for Cornwall - in fact, the best I have found for this type of research - unbelievable.  .. but you get so far .. and then ..... stuck!!  Roll Eyes

Veryan and Ruan Lanihorne are close but not the same. You could try the online parish clerks for the parishes
