Distant indeed, with common ancestor William Roberts, I believe (the father of my Hugh & your Henry) -- your G8-gf and my G7-gf, as well as a removal!
Do you have the marriage info for William Roberts & Elizabeth abt 1675?
I'm afraid I am not aware of any Acott girls among my Belchers...

I'm not too optimistic that there is a link with my Kidlington Belchers (see earlier post). The IGI (batch no. C038622) has Thomas Belcher (1742) and Sarah Belcher (1747) as siblings of my Martha Belcher bp 1745 in Kidlington, with no sign of a William (as would be expected given the name of the father).
However, the IGI (batch no. C033941) has a candidate William Belcher bp Aug 31, 1735, Combe, Oxford, s/o Willm. Belcher and Martha. This William has siblings John Belcher (1732), Mary Belcher (1737), and Ann Belcher (1740), which all fit in well with the Kidlington Belcher family group. Combe is about 3 miles from Kidlington.
Your Christianmalford, Wilts is about 30 miles SW of Kidlington, Oxon -- not likely but not impossible. I notice that the IGI record for your William Belcher in 1756 is unsourced. Do you have access to the parish records for Christianmalford?
