You're very welcome Aunty Em.
I also have Irish ancestors, my maternal grandfather was Irish so I have to start the Irish research. I've heard it's not easy LOL.
You won't bombard anyone, just keep posting and you'll be okay. Don't be shy.
I'd better get to bed - it's almost 3.00 a.m. and I'm still going. Hahahaha. See what RC does to you - it's addictive !!!! It's my other "home".
Hugs CP

Hiya CP,
My problem is, I`m very, very new to all this, and I feel as though I`m just not looking in the right place, although I do believe there is not alot of info to be had, as most was destroyed either in 1916 or 1922 according to my cousin.
My dad (85) is still cracking on, but is of very little help, his memory (bless him) is not what it was. What I have also found is that alot of info is taken to the grave, and I`m determined that wont happen to my children, so I`m on a mission
It`s 4.00pm here in the UK, 3.00am in OZ? you`d better get some sleep, night, night, god bless
Aunty Em

Hi,
Just a hint on Dowdallshill. There are no links on web for inscriptions. The best place to vontact would be Alan, in Dundalk Co Library. The numbers on line or email him. He looks after the research end of things and is a wonderful help. He will dend you in the right direction. I would go take a photo for you but I would be walking for days the cemetry is huge!! Alan can also research all the names you are looking for but I think there is a fee
