If you type Godiva Street, Coventry into the search box a few options come up:

opps, sorry, it was Godiva Place ....
I'll hunt around for another map.

Thanks - I did that too; found a photo which mentions a footpath under the ring road - was hoping to find an old photo or map which highlights it - but i'm probably digressing.

Hello there

We have just had a great debate re Godiva Street.  We believe it is now under the new Sky Blue Way, on the ring ring, towards the old football ground.  Many thanks for getting us to use our brains and find our way round Coventry.
cheer

The best view of almost anywhere in the world and a fantastic view of Godiva Street Coventry is:

http://maps.google.com

type in Godiva Street Coventry UK and click either map or satelite view.  Then click the + to zoom in on a view from about 100 feet high.  Click and drag the picture or click the left/right, up/down arrows to move around.
It's fantastic.   Grin

You can type in any address, anywhere in the world and depending on magnification you can go there.

No download of software required.

Cheers, Kevin

Kazza

Godiva  Street disappeared with the building of the Coventry Inner Ring road in the 1960s.  Much of the line of it is now under the Coventry University. The end part which became a cul-de-sac with no houses was renamed Godiva Place.

I used to collect rent from quite a few houses in Godiva Street from 1955-60.

You can find some good photos of the houses at http://www.picturesofcoventry.co.uk/
naturally under G and then Godiva Street.
