Marriage - Elford/Harwood

Hi

Can anyone help with a full version of a marriage. The details I have are :-

Edward B Elford -m- Eva Harwood.
4th quarter 1912 Wareham Dorset.

I have an Edward R in my tree and wondered if it is the same one.

Hi Carla,

I think you would either have to buy a copy of the certificate or check back in a church register to get the full details.  If you know the name of Edward R's father you could use it as a point to check when ordering a copy of the certificate trhough GRO.  If the names do not match you will get a partial refund of £4.

Hi

I have also found another marriage for a Frederick W Elford -m- Margaretta R Harwood in Wareham 1916, any more details would be great.

I have found births for :
Ivy Elford 1914

Harold Elford 1919
Frances Elford 1922
Ronald Elford 1923
These 3 were brothers and sisters, but to which parents?

Has anyone got christening information?

Hi Carla,

Unless you know which church the family used searching parish registers could take a long time!   You could send for a copy of one of the birth certificates, using the names of the parents as checking points, so if they do not match you get a partial refund from GRO of £4.

Have you had a look at www.dorset-opc.com?  Bloxworth does have an opc; email address on the Bloxworth page.  They might be able to help with the registers.
