Hi My GGrandfather William Cairns (1834 Cornhill England) married Janet Allison ?? (1838 Eyemouth, Berwickshire) she gave birth to Margaret Ann Cairns (1872 Scotland) before moving to Northumberland. (1901 census)
I'm trying to find out my GGM's maiden name and when she got married.
Any help much appreciated thanks

Margaret Ann was born 26th September 1871 in Mordington, Berwick. Parents William Cairns and Janet Alison. So her maiden name was just that; Alison.  Smiley Can't find their marriage at the minute.
