I am just curious.......that's a bit dangerous, I know.
Would anyone know who lived at 77 Farquar Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham, in the late 1940's and 1950's? My great aunt Elsie was, apparently, a governess or companion to the family living there. She was a wonderful aunt and had a very understanding way with children. Indeed, she was the person who introduced me to reading and sent me many a "classic" for birthdays and Christmas.
The electoral registers would list the persons over 21 who could vote, so you could contact Birmingham Central Library and enquire if they have copies of the ER's and aks if they can do one look up for you to see who was living at the address in a particular year, or visit them and search through several of the ER books to seek the information.
Thanks Lemontree. I am not far away from B'ham City Centre so could do that easily. The Central Library has a good genealogy section but, somehow, I never thought of the ERs. Silly me. Bye.
