Hunts Marriage Lookup Harper/Crouch

Does anyone have a copy of the Hunts. Marriage Index 1754-1837 and willing to check Please.

Marriages at Ramsey. William Harper to Tabitha Crouch 12 May 1834.  Volume 8.  I am trying to find parents names to both.  I think Tabitha parents were William Crouch & Elizabeth Unknown.  My G G Grandparents.  1841 Census listed the family under Horper. child - Joseph Harper my G Grandfather.

Unfortunately the Index is precisely that. The only other detail in the index is widow/widower and parish of residence if not otp if that information was included in the parish register

Tabitha Crouch and William Harper appear in it simply as marrying at Ramsey in 1834. You need a look up in Ramsey parish register for any extra detail.

But pre 1837, names of fathers was not a requirement and are rarely found in the marriage entry. The best you can hope for is a clue from the names of the two witnesses.

I thought from the other board that as Tabitha gave her her place of birth as Doddington Cambs age 45 in 1861 you had been given her likely baptism in Feb 1817 at Doddington. Apart from using the IGI you can also check Cambs baptisms 1801-37 at http://www.cfhs.org.uk/Search.html

But there is someone with Ramsey parish register transcript on this board so I would post a new request asking for a Ramsey parish register look up for marriage details
