iv been trying to find a family on the 1901 census,brighton sussex,with no luck.can any kind person have a look for me incase its just me being blind.lol. thomas frederick vickers b1871 ,wife evelyn georgina b1869, children - charles frederick bc1893,christina eva c1895,walter william bc1897, albert earnest 1898 ,arthur thomas c1900, doris julia c1899(all born brighton and lived in brighton) i cant find any of them and as far as i no they never left brighton(my nan was their youngest child born 1907) realy appreciate any help in tracking these down

thank you,thank you, how did you find them?iv been looking for 3 years.lol. tryed al variations of vickers .cant find deaths for the parents either,so now il have a look for that in a difrent surname. they definatly had a doris so maybe she was born later than 1901. fancy being under BICKERS,no wonder i couldnt find them.

Because the transcriptions can be somewhat wayward it is always a good idea to just search on a first name, age and date of birth and hope that you can spot a silly transcription as you scroll through them. If you can also put in a parent's name that cuts it down but as they may be wrong too....... Just trial and error - with the errors being in transcription usually! Andrea
