I have just found we have a relative, Samuel Bruce, who was born in 1848, in Burravoe,Shetland Isles, to Robert Bruce and Janet Williamson...I can't find him after the 71 census,when he was listed as an Able Seaman in Glasgow....he came out to Australia about 1877, but I can't find him in Shipping lists or the 81 census.....he married an Elizabeth Ann Clark in Bendigo, Victoria (Aust) in 1890. I would love to know what ship he came to OZ on, and where he was for those years...
OR any info. on the family would be great!
