I am working backwards from the 1901 family to illustrate that this John’s parents were not John and Susannah.

Hi, Your William born 1823 has different parents, William and Mary and the spelling of the surname is different then the other names that you list which do have the parents John and Susannah. I would think your first William is a different family. This may make them easier to find. Norma

Hi again, Just been looking on the I G I and found a William Kennedy 16 Apr 1786 and a John Kennedy 24 Feb 1797 with the parents William Kennedy and Jenny Wilson which give a possible connection to the two families. Sorry I know this is not the census you where looking for but it may help. Norma

Hi again, I have looked on the 1841/1851/1861 census and there is only 1 Susannah and she is only 5 months old so not the one you are looking for and as for the others there is no sign of them. There does appear to be the William 1823 on there. Norma

Good morning Norma
I think that William c1823 is the one shown on the 1841 census entry above. Most of the other children of William and Mary (as shown on the IGI in batch C036771) are there.
On the 1841 census his age (and the ages of the others over 15) would have been rounded down to the nearest multiple of 5. So, although he is shown as 15 on the census, he could have been any age up to 19.
Like you, I have had no luck at all in finding the other family (after another attempt to do so).
