A History of Photographers in Sussex
« on: Thursday 29 March 07 15:07 BST (UK) »

This is a great link to a website is devoted to photographers active in the English counties of East Sussex
and West Sussex during Victorian and Edwardian times. It is designed to be used by people researching
their family history who wish to date family photographs and those interested in the history of photography.
I spotted this site as I was searching for information about the landscape gardeners, Cheals of Crawley, who did some work at the Hazelwood Estate in Belfast, but they were also regularly employed as carters by Cheals Nursery in Crawley. The father and brothers of photographer, George Parsons were farmers but were regularly employed as carters by Cheals.
