Could someone look up my mother-in-law's relatives? In 1891 census index on Ancestry the name was spelled Ramsay but it should be Ramsey.
William Gilmore Ramsey/Ramsay born c1862 Ireland wife Elizabeth/Lizzie born c1860 Ireland daughter Susan born c1888 Govan son Robert born c1890 Govan son William born c1894 probably Scotland (1905-6 at school in Ireland) son Samuel age unknown quite possibly others in family 1891 at Plantation, Govan. 1905- William was a quay worker. 1912 signed Ulster Covenant at Candlerigg Orange Hall, Glasgow.
Robert Ramsey/Ramsay born 1868 Ireland (22 in 1891) wife Annie born c1863 Clarkstown, Lanarkshire family?
Samuel Ramsey/Ramsay born 1864 Ireland. Living with brother Robert in 1891 and unmarried.
James Ramsey/Ramsay born 1878 Ireland. "went to Scotland and was in the Army (Red Jackets)" 1912 signed Ulster Covenant at Kilmarnock (Port Glasgow district).

Carol- many thank for the information. The ages are all off but certainly the right family. Only child missing is a daughter Susan (3 in 1891) but perhaps she died young. I was told there are at least 3 boys in the family.
Wonder if there is any sign of William's brothers in Scotland in 1901 (listed in original post)?

Hi there,
I have noticed that the ages all seem to be about 10 years out.
And have seen that others noticed too- there's a thread about it on Ancestry's own message board.
So until we can see the actual images ,take ages with a pinch of salt
