Thank you Heywood
I am grateful for your help.  Please could you tell me where the Lines family originated from?  Were they local to the area?
It may help me decide if he is the right Joseph.  His wife was Jane Barker.

Delta

George was a Smith & Farrier who was born in Wheathampstead, aged 28 and living with his wife Mary and quite a few "visitors" who presumably were actually lodgers. Undecided

Hello Rick
Thanks for your input.  I'll pencil in the info - just in case it is the right Joseph, which I think it might well be.

Delta

ONEILL is studying the Wheathampstead LINES family, so it might be worth PMing her to see if she knows of a connection between the LINES and the PEARMANS.

Incidentally, looking at the original image I believe that the entry does indeed say Joseph and not Josh.  I think that the enumerator has abridged the name to Josph.  The "ph" being higher than the "Jos."  In the entry above William has been written Willm.
