Hi Barbara I have had a look and can't seem to seem anything, but have written to another list to see if someone can help on this one. Will keep you posted if I hear anything back. Kind regards Carol
Hi Carol,
I have just found out about the shipwreck of the barque Canton off Cape Wrath 22 Aug 1847 when all hands were lost and the bodies recovered were buried at Durness according to newspaper reports.
Is it possible to find any monumental inscription details of Asher PREDGEN b.1808 Hull who was 1st officer on the barque?
Thank you for looking, Barbara
