Coroner's Report
« on: Tuesday 30 November 04 07:58 UTC (UK) »

My gt.grandfather John Joseph Jones was killed in a railway accident in March 1876.   The Death Certificate is signed by the Deputy Coroner of Dorset.   Can anyone tell me where I might get a copy of this report or a newspaper account.
Thanks Ann Street

Try the County record office for the coroner's report.....I got one from York by ringing them...they were very helpful....emailed me to convirm they had it and a charge of £1 per page for photocopies....you need the deceased name and the date of the inquest.

The newspaper report should be in the local linrary...again contacted them by email enquiry and they posted me photocopies.
