more certain about this family as I've found James with mother Ann & father William in 1871 RG10/5598 folio 64 pg 10 with matching ages and birthplaces and 1861 there is a sister Mary A b. Kerry/Ceri
1901 Velindre, Beguildy RG13/5182 folio 8 pg 8 Absalom Price head mar 51 bootmaker b. Radnorshire, Llananno Mary Ann price wife 46 dressmaker b. Mont, Dolfor (near Ceri) Annie Edwards mother widow 83 b. Mont, Llanidloes Margaret A Edwards niece 17 dressmaker b. Tregynon Sarah E Edwards niece 7 b. Tregynon
Absalom Price june qtr 1881 Knighton vol 11b pg 239 with Mary Ann Edwards on the same page
there's a possible for William as a gardener in Norton, Cheshire RG13/3333 folio 46 pg 4. A*c*t*y have him as adopted son, but the census actually says assistant. Place of birth says Montgomery, Shropshire !
Do you know whether Mary E is Mary Ellen or Mary Elizabeth? I think I spotted a possible Mary Ellen in Ystradyfodwg or thereabouts in Glam.

Ignore that Mary - she was born Welshpool. There is one of the right age born Kerry in Rhayader, a servant in the household of George Davies RG13/5184 folio 65 pg 39. Nothing obvious for John. There's a student in Aberystwyth, but doesn't seem likely with no parents to support him. And a slate quarryman in Merionethshire and a labourer in Llangollen, but no definite clues. Sadly, I suspect that the James death at least is correct. At least the extended family appear to have pitched in.
