I have come across a double wedding for Anne Leader!!! Apparently she was married to two different men on the same day. I wondered if somebody could possibly check the parish records for Dullingham (Fen-Drayton?) for 1574-1876, also 1558-1869?
On a family website of the Cutters, Anne Leader is down as marrying Ishmael Cutter on 1 October 1677 at Dullingham, Cambs. On the IGI records, she is down as the mother of Mary Cutter, who was baptised on 29 May 1678, also Dullingham. Mary's father is Ishmael Cutter. They also had five more children.
But on the IGI records, I found Anne Leader, married to Emile Dutter on 1 October 1677 in Dullingham. This is really confusing. That is the only entry for Emile. I wondered if maybe he had died before she had her first child, and if she married Ishmael, giving Mary his name.
I can't find a record on the IGI for Anne and Ishmael's marriage, but it's funny how it's on the same date as when she apparently married Emile.
I realise it's a long way back in the parish records, but I haven't got as far back with any other branches of my tree, and it's really exciting.
Ishmael is my ancestor, going right back to around 1657 in Dullingham.
AHA!!! I've just realised the Emile Dutter was probably wrongly transcribed, and it should have read Ishmael Cutter. That will be why there are no other records for an Emile Dutter, Dutter or Emile in the IGI. I thought it sounded quite a romantic name - never mind Ishmael Cutter is quite nice too.
