My understanding is that you can't change your User Name yourself but that you can change your Posting Name yourself.
My User Name remains as the original JudyP but I changed my Posting Name ages ago to my (unisex) initials - JAP.
However, I believe that the 'bosses' can change one's User Name - I assume this because I know for a fact that someone who started out with one User/Posting Name, had both his User & Posting Names changed to the same new one.
I'd be interested to hear the definitive answer.
Cheers,
JAP

All you say is true.
Also PMs stay with the original Username - which confuses people

Does anyone recognise this man?

Newfy - Showing the original user name on pm.s is a bit odd, especially as someone like JAP changed her name ages ago and lots of us would only know the current name.

Hope you have received by pm reply. I'm guessing it shows From Lizzy Not So Busy and if you click on reply (without bothering to send another pm), it will show Lizziedripping.

If you have clicked on 'Change Profile' it could be the size of your new avatar which is too big?
http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/topic,206503.0.html
Regarding the other query about changing your username I was told by Sarah this wasn't possible .. .. you can definitely only change your posting name .. ..
