Are there any Marston Bigot parish records online or has anyone any fiche and could do a lookup when convenient please? I am looking for records earlier than 1798.
I have details of a marriage in St Leonard's Church Marston Bigot 2 Oct 1798 of Mary ALL*N and William HUMPHRIES. and the baptisms of their two earliest born children, Samuel, 1799 and Eliz 1802. So that is all OK.
About the ALL*N family I know nothing except this marriage of Mary- and I'd like to find her baptism- she was born 14 Feb 1780[from her theadstone in Ontario]. The baptism record may give her parents' names.
The father of William HUMPHRIES[Wm born 1777] was Samuel and his mother was Sarah someone- would love to find their marriage.. Wm was the oldest child in the family so they were probably married 1777/76. It's a long shot that Marston Bigot will contain these records but don't know where else to start digging.
Any suggestions/help much apprecaited, charlotte
