Andrew and Jane GRAHAM, Astenby, Kirklinton
« on: Wednesday 11 April 07 04:44 BST (UK) »

Anyone out there researching an Andrew and Jane GRAHAM who were at Astenby, Kirklinton when two children were baptised?

Margaret 1776 (Astenby) and William 1777 (Great Astenby).

(I am assuming that this is a different Andrew and Jane GRAHAM than the couple of Newbiggen, parents of the John baptized and buried in 1785)

I'm trying to determine whether or not this is the Andrew, son of Stephen & Abigail GRAHAM of Fauld, who seem to have owned Craggs, Bewcastle, from 1728 to 1789 (passed from Stephen to son Andrew in 1757 when Stephen died).
Two children baptised Bewcastle (Richard 1772,  and Stephen, 1774)
who married Jane GRAHAM 1765 "Kirkandrews upon Eske"
See

and

Love to hear from anyone untangling these families.

Regards
Lorna

I think I've solved this one, or at least found some corroorbative evidence that a Margaret did exist in the family concerned.

And if I'm right, it is highly likely that her brother William had died prior to 1804.
