Which newspaper covers Crowborough?
« on: Thursday 12 April 07 07:52 BST (UK) »

Could someone please tell me which newspaper is likely to have printed an obituary for someone who lived in Crowborough and died there in Dec 1998?

Also where can I see a copy of it- apart from Colindale newspaper library.

Is there a local library who would do look ups?

Many thanks for any help you can give me.

All the best

Carol

Hi Carol

The Sussex Express, a local paper would most likely have covered Crowborough.  It has different editions throughout the county.

I found this page on the East Sussex County Council website that might help.

I would also try the British Library's newspaper catalogue

http://prodigi.bl.uk/nlcat/welcome.asp

If you put in Crowborough either as a title or a place you will get a list of newspapers and the dates they were published (or the British Library has copies for - which is almost the same thing).
