so we have Edith's father on all of the census -haven't found a death, but it seems he died between 1871-1881-as in 1881 there is this 5 Penwith St Madron Penzance Emlyn (should be Emmaline) Pellow Pengelley Head Widow 45 Emlyn daughter 15 Tailoress William John son 13 Errand boy Edmund T son 10 Thomas Chegwidden Lodger U 31 Joiner Holston all Pengelly's b. Penzance RG11 2345 130 26

Heywood, I thought Winifred may have worked at Norman House, but doubt she would have had her occupation on her marriage cert-not one of mine has from that time

Clutching at straws now -but trying to leave no stone unturned!!!!
There are a few James Hicks b. London , but none that quite fit in 1891 There is a james W Hicks -correct age b. kentish Town London , but in 1901 he is married living in Essex and is a bricklayer.
It would be good to hear any further info
