John Cairns

 Please can anyone find John Cairns he was a Shoemaker in Liverpool down on 1861 Census in  74 Hornsby Street Liverpool with wife Margaret and Children does not seem to be around after that wonder if he died  ?. Any help much appreciated..

 Tati all i know is that Ruth Cairns was my GGRAN and she married Andrew Heneley in April 1879 inKirkdale Lancaster her Dads detail were as i had given her address was at  Stalmine Rd Walton on the Hill  Nothing else is known..

Not much help.

I can see Ruth in 1871, a servant in Kirkdale. Her name is spelled Cearns.

I see 1856/1857 isn't well covered at all on FreeBMD. Have you searched the complete index for her birth yet?

You don't need a subscription to ancestry to view the full BMD index  Cool

I see a possible death for John in 1868, but given there are many candidates around, it's just a guess ...

I just checked on ancestry (1856-58)!

Ruth is not listed under 'Cairns'

Just checking the other spellings! Wink
