Hi
Does anyone know anything about the workhouse on Sidney Rd Homerton, as found on the 1901 census? RG13 235  simply gives a list of paupers. "my" two Jenkins (husband and wife) are found under slightly different numbers: folio55 page 37 for Elizabeth, folio 46 page 19 for Christopher.
Where might I find more details of why and when this couple fell on such hard times? They should have been comfortably off as Christoper was a silversmith on several earlier census, but is listed in 1901 as  a pauper.
