O'Brien married Sexton
« on: Saturday 14 April 07 15:33 UTC (UK) »

I have been looking for any information about this family.  If you have any information please contact me.  Thanks for your time!!

Jeremiah O'Brien (Brien) b. about 1835 married Julia Sexton b. about 1835
The children I have found so far were all born in Timoleague, County Cork

Cornelius  b. 10 Feb 1864
John  b. 3 Jul 1865
Anne  b. 28 Jul 1867
Margaret  b. 16 Nov 1868

Family story says that 3 sons left Ireland.  One went to Australia, one to Connecticut (I believe this was Cornelius) and the third son went to Massachusetts, this was John who was my husbands great-grandfather.  John stayed in Massachusetts and had 2 children.

The story goes on to say that the other children of Jeremiah and Julia all returned to Ireland to help the parents with a family business, possibly a department store of some kind.

It would be great to find my husbands roots and hopefully find some cousins!!

Thanks again!!
