Is there some kind soul who could check a marriage probably at Boxley or Detling between 1820 and 1830 between a Robert Wilkins and Sophia ??. It is her surname I am after.

Mr David Hills has now added marriages from the following parishes in the Hollingbourne registration district 1754-1911 to his index.
Boughton Malherbe , Boxley , Broomfield , Chart Sutton , Detling , East Sutton , Frinsted , Harrietsham , Headcorn , Hollingbourne , Hucking , Langley , Leeds , Lenham , Stockbury , Sutton Valence , Thurnham and Ulcombe.

Hi Alex
Assuming that all the parishes in the Hollingbourne registration district can be discounted, do you have any further information as to where any marriage may have taken place then ie. places of birth for them and known children etc.? Where do they first turn up? Are there any other parishes that have been checked for this marriage?

Hi
I have checked Borden, Hartlip, Upchurch, Bobbing, Bredgar, Lower Halstow, Newington, & Stockbury being local parishes. Here's the gen on them :-
Robert Wilkins c 1806 (according to the 1841 Census so that could be miles out) POB unknown died 1843 Boxley
Sophia ?? c 1807 POB Detling
Their children :-
William c 1826, Mary Ann c 1827, Robert c 1828, Martha c1829 (Baptism 23.05.1829 at Boxley) presumed died as then Martha 1830 (baptism 27.06.1830 Boxley), David c1831, Avis 1834 (m Isaac Apps), Edward c1837, Sophia 1839, Charles 1841 and Harriett 1843, all born Boxley.
The reason I am interested in that after Robert's death in 1843 Sophia had a relationship with Thomas Bennett born 1811 in Bredhurst. They never married but had three children Mary Bennett Wilkins born & died 1847 in Bredhurst, Ellen Wilkins 5.9.1848 Detling (?), and George 1850 born Boxley (married Harriett Franks Naylor). Ellen married Robert Chambers and that's what comes back to me as a Chambers!
