I am searching for the baptism of this lady in about 1800. She probably came from East or West Chelborough but I have found nothing except a likely family headed by a Thomas Wills and wife Mary. A marriage entry of these two might be revealing but where?

Hi Toby,

Have you looked on www.dorset-opc.com?  You might find the marriage there.

Good luck,

Nanny Jan

Thanks. At the end of the day. it is really just a matter of working through all  the likely parish records and then the rest if unlucky. Boyd seems a bit patchy in this area.

Nanny Jan.
I think I have it.
Litton Cheney. 9 April 1798. Marriage of Thomas Wills & Mary Hide. This is almost certainly the marriage that I  have been seeking. Four of their children were baptised in W. Chelborough  and Hide was a second name for two of them, but the baptism of Jane eludes me still.
I live in hope.
Toby.
