Looking for ETHEL MAY CARTER, Bn. Hope quay,Weymouth on the (looks like) 18/05/1896
Daughter of Edward Carter and Frances Sarah (nee Perks)
I have her birth cert. and I have her in 1901 census.
She then disappears. (Cann't find a marriage,death or anything)
Please help me trace her demise.

If she died or married in England or Wales it will be on the full GRO index - have you only looked on the partial index?

If she was only born 1896, any marriage could have been from 1913 onwards and voluntary transcriptions are a bit thinner on the ground for that period.  This is a possibility from freebmd

There are at least three Ethel Mays dying after 1984 who were born on the 18th May 1896:

Ethel May Miller   Jul  1988  Warrington
Ethel May Simmons  Oct 1987   Hackney
Ethel May Smith   May 1987   Launceston

I imagine that there are several more before 1984; it's a common name.
