Hi Debra
I've had a look through St Quivox and the other books I have, but I can't find them. Sorry, It doesn't mean they are not there, it may be the stone is broken, or there never was one.
Good hunting

Hi Liz
sorry about the delay in replying, ha a busy spell work wise.
Newton Green shows one:
Erected by John Blane in memory of his daughter Margaret d 1825 aged 18;
the above John Blane d 4 Jan 1842 aged 81;
his wife Janet Watt d 2 mar 1859 aged 88;
his dau Jean Blane d 5 oct 1881 aged 64.
(they are all a bit earlier than you mentioned, but maybe they are helpful)

St Quivox has 2 -
Er by Robert Wyllie in memory of his wife MARY BLANE d at Laigland 8 Apr 1900 aged 80;
also their dau Margaret d 19 July 1876 aged 27;
the above Rbt Wyllie d at Laigland 16 Jan 1910 aged 87;
their dau Mary d 10 Feb 1929 aged 72.

in loving memory of Sarah Lowrie d 23 Jan 1919 aged 24 beloved dau of Alexander and Agnes Blane;
also the above Agnes Blane d 4 july 1947 in her 75 yr;
also the above Alexander Blane d 1948 aged 77

Wallacetown cemetery (it's in Ayr too) has some too:
1) Sacred to the mem of MARY BLANE b 4 jul 1811 d 14 oct 1902;
also her sis Margaret b 4 July 1805 d dec 1899;
also Alexander Cook d 4 june 1884 aged 84
also his dau Mary d 1900 aged 61
also her husb William McLelland d 22 june 1880
also agnes Chambers d aug 1899 aged 16
margaret cook.

2)  - this one is for the Shields family and includes -
william Shields d 15 may 1899 aged 18 and his beloved wifr Mary Blane d 27 nov 1901 aged 52.
(I can give you more of that one if you think its relevant)

3) James McCall builder Ayr d Aug 1849 aged 77;
JANET BLANE his wife d sep 1849 aged 84
also others, but not Blanes.

4) MArgaret McCutcheon d 13 may 1917
her mother SUSAN BLANE d 11 dec 1924
and her father William G Russell d  23 sept 1925.
(other Russell on there too).

I hope some of this helps

Hi Bobby D
You don't have to shin over - you can call the guys at the local crematorium to get access! But it would not be helpful because I can't see any Davidsons there anyway. It is of quite limited timespan. Loads in Wallacetown cemetery 9 entries - its locked too, but again it is possible to ask for entry. If you give me some names and dates, I'll see if these are your family, rather than type them all out just now. (but I can if it proves they are yours!)
sorry, I'm being vague, I'm really tired today. But I'll look again when I'm more awake and more time.

Hello
I am looking for a grave inscription for a Mary O'Hara who died on the 16th of August 1885. She stayed at 57 Elba Street Ayr so possibly she may be buried at Wallacetown cemetery. Can I get entry to Wallacetown cemetery. I stay in Ayr.
Hope someone can help.
