1881 census-Fishers
« on: Monday 16 April 07 19:31 UTC (UK) »

Hello all, I was wondering if anybody could help me in tracing a couple, Robert James Fisher, and his wife Emily/Emma, in the 1881 census. They wouldve been around late 20's. I know they may have a daughter called Ethel, and Robert JKames and Emily/Emma Jane may have used their middle names ion the census. Id appreciate any help, as this side of the family have proved difficult to trace, now I have a hit, I need to confirm its them! Grin
Regards

Matthew,

How do you know your Fishers are from Tipperary?

Unfortunately there is no Irish census for 1881  in existence.

If you post whatever info. you have about them someone might help focus your search in Tipperary.

Hi Ronnie, I dont have alot of info at all. My g g granny Ethel Violet Fisher was born in Tipperary 1878-1881. She was the daughter of Robert James Fisher and Emily Jane ms unknown. Robert James was born in Wrentham, England, in 1853. I have no idea what they were doing in Ireland in the late 1870's!!
Thanks for the tip Ronnie
