History

A great new-ish site is starting to evolve. It is worth a look, and has a great entry by myself, too! It is lots of history trails, and individuals research including piccies and the like.
It is a little difficult to find your way around, but try the 'Gallery' link, and also they have some good useful links. Worth bookmarking, I reckon.
The site is http://www.ngfl.gov.uk/localhistory/gallery.php
I hope it is of interest to somebody.
Best
Kevan

The British Educational Communications and Technology Agency (Becta) is improving its offer to teachers by rationalising the number of different services it provides for schools and teaching staff. This is being achieved by integrating valued components of the NGfL into its existing services.

For online schools resources, please use Becta's Content Search. Click on 'Search help' for how to locate quality-assured educational websites suitable for use in the classroom.

Although primarily a link for A Level studies, still a useful link for all interested. I have found the contents of this site very interesting.

There are some really interesting sites listed on

http://www.upton.cx/ring/sitelist.html

Its a uk nationwide web ring mainly devoted to local history although family history also features. Lots of snippets and memories.
Well worth a browse.
