Does anyone know why Union St. in Leyland was renamed as Fox Lane?

Hi - thanks for that link - interesting is that.
... and thanks too for the offer of photos. Actually, I've visited the place myself and taken some pictures in the recent past.
If you have a look at the link which was posted (I'm sure you'll recognise most of the buildings), you'll see a reference to John Lord's butchers shop. He's one of the guys I'm interested in. I'd very much like a photo of the shop pre-1994 (when it was redeveloped). You wouldn't know where I can find one, would you?
Also, on the opposite corner of the road is an old building now painted black and white. It used to be a post-office run by a guy called Quarton Houlden (a grand name that!). Any old photos of the post office, Quarton's chemist shop or even of old Q (as he was known) would be very welcome.
All a long shot, I know, but no harm asking.
