...so many "trees" - what's a dog to do!

Archibald Meyre
« on: Tuesday 17 April 07 21:57 BST (UK) »

I asked for ideas about this individual a while back, but I'm just hoping there's someone "new" out there who will have chapter and verse on my man of mystery.....well, I can dream can't I?  Tongue

A brief trip to Wetheral churchyard a few months ago proved fruitless, as has a search of Ancestry, but I'm sure he must have died somewhere between the 1851 census (in Wetheral) and the re-marriage of his wife, Margaret Bulman, in 1857.

Does anyone have a connection to any Meyre/Meyers families in and around Carlisle?

Yes, that's the last "evidence" I have of Archibald Snr.

Margaret remarried in 1857 to a Francis Birkett - no idea what became of Archie!?
