Penshaw All Saints Parish look up
« on: Wednesday 18 April 07 01:22 BST (UK) »

My brick wall...Isabelle Oswald who married John Clazey (Clazie, Claizy, etc.).  Their oldest son was baptized in 1816 Berwick Upon Tweed, a daughter died there and two sons were baptized in Etal, 1819 and 1824.. John died when the children were young is all I know.  He was either a miller or engineer... can find no record of either his death or their marriage.  She is found in 1841 census in Penshaw and 1851 where son James is a schoolmaster.  Perhaps John Clazey died there?  Any information much appreciated.

No Clazey burial in Penshaw up to 1839.  My next set of burial records start at 1846.  He was dead before 1841?

In the 1841 Census, Isabella is alone or widowed I should say...she was living with her son, James.  Thank you very much for looking.
