Warfield. Wise family
« on: Wednesday 18 April 07 10:40 UTC (UK) »

William Wise b. 1665 married Elizabeth Boyce b. 1669 in 1690.  All in Warfield.
Children:
Elizabeth  1691
William     1694
Eleanor    1696  Died 1713
John         1698  Married Sarah Fearnhill    Son William B. 1743
George     1700
Thomas    1702  Married 1719 Ann Fearnhill B.1699
Joseph     1703  Died 1713
Alice         1704
Does anyone have connections with this family?  I am trying to discover if they were linked to William Wise b. 1810 Bray  to George Wise and Elizabeth Kentfield M.1801 in Winkfield.  I cannot find birth date or parents of George.
Any help appreciated as there are millions of Wises in the Binfield, Warfield and Winkfield area.
Regards Abiam

Hello Abiam,

William b 1743 is possibly the father of my 4xgreat grandmother Sarah Wise who was baptised at Warfield June 30th 1771 as he is the only William who fits in the age bracket giving that he was from Warfield to start from.

I don't know anything else about the family except that Sarah's brother was also William and he married Elizabeth Clark at Warfield in 1795.

Regards

Hello Leigh,
Thanks for your reply.  There may well be a connection between the two families but I don't see it at the moment.  It is made all the more difficult that I have no real idea where George was born.  In the '41 census it says 'yes, born in county' meaning Berkshire.
There are several of us trying to find him and at the moment Yattendon in Berks is a possibility.
I will make a note of your details ready for the 'big breakthrough'
Regards,
