The Lilian M Smith age 8 months that Geoff found on 1901 census,  could be this birth index found in Bourne RD in Sept 1900 vol 7a page 382  - lists a Lilian Mary Smith.

& why wasn't Dorothy shown with family on 1901 census, perhaps she died.
There is a possible death index for a Dorothy Smith in Caistor RD in Dec 1900 vol 7a page 372 (born 1899)
