A treasury of old maps from all over the UK

I have just found the following site while doing a bit of aimless googling.

This is not the well-known old-maps.co.uk site, useful though that is. There are loads of really old maps and city plans here from all over the country. I am spellbound.
   I hope all other Rootschatters will find as much information as I have

PS I suggest saving to computer when the resolution is too small on-line, then you can zoom in as you wish.

Hi Jane, wow what a find. I am sure there will be something for every one on that site/link. I have been looking for maps of Manchester/Salford/Edinbrough and cheshire rom around 1890's to 1930's and thanks to you i have now found them. Just one more good reason why rootschat is the top ancesty site Smiley

Yes but old maps is easier to search i.e by postcode or place name, whereas the british history site is quite laborious to search through.
