Can anyone find any of their children for me especially a William born about 1817 please ?

It looks as if its about 20 miles away,
Charfield is located s.w. of Cheltenham.

Charfield is about 30 miles from Cheltenham and is a bit out in the sticks.  It must have seemed a long trek to Cheltenham in the early 1800s.  When we lived in Dursley (a few miles from Charfield) in the mid 1970s, I was walking behind someone in the main street, and overheard a woman saying she was astounded that her friend had travelled to Worcestershire and back in one day for a funeral!  Lots of people even then, hadn't even been as far as Gloucester, (about 10 miles) so your ancestors were very adventurous!
