This is my transcript of a transcript; the surname may be indexed as MENDISON on SP rather than MURDISON...... but it certainley is supposed to be MURDISON as the 1851 confirms it (do you have the 1851 already?)

1861: "Gattonside", Melrose, Roxburgh
Parish 799/1, ED 4, pg 8
Head: Andrew MURDISON 38, Slater, b Lauder, Berwickshire
Wife: Elizabeth MURDISON 38, b Melrose Roxburgh
Son: Andrew MURDISON 12, Scholar, b Melrose Roxburgh
Dau: Christina MURDISON 10, Scholar, b Melrose Roxburgh
