You don't know where Rhosymedre is??!!It is the adjoning Village to Cefn Mawr where I live.As far as the Marriage Mike quoted,the Rhosymedre Marriage Registers as transcribed by Clwyd FHS show the following;
Robert Morris Roberts(Quarryman) of Trevor,married Jane Evans of Llangollen on May the 2nd.Robert's father is given as Robert Roberts(Quarryman),and Jane's Father is given as John Evans(Tailor).

Its no problem at all Robbo.To give you some idea,Rhosymedre is about five miles from Llangollen,and Trevor is a Village betwen Rhosymedre and Llangollen,about two miles towards Llangollen.

If you are sure that the Rhosymedre*marriage is correct, I have access to both the Lllangollen and Corwen Parish records for further investigation of the parents.

Hi Robbo
The 1881 one looks very much like your Robert Morris - given that the marriage record that William found has 'quarryman' for father's occupation and this one is 'labourer (limestone)'. Llanfor (where Robert senior was born) is a parish on the southern shores of Bala Lake.
How strange, I also have some of those records 
I'll get back to you when I've found something.
Have you located a possible Jane Evans with father John (tailor) on the 1881?

They don't go as forward as 1860, Robbo, so I need the link births. I'm going to PM Paul, our resident man with a bike. he goes to the records office quite often and could probably look up:
Jane Evans , b.c. 1859-60, Corwen, Merionethshire - father John Evans (tailor)
Robert Morris Roberts, b.c 1862, Llangollen - father Robert Roberts - mother Catherine
This put up for Paul to see!
Corwen/Llangollen births 1837-1880 not on North Wales BMD yet 
If we can get over this hump, we can get back further in my parish records - hopefully!
