Hi can anyone do a lookup for me please? I am looking for my great gran Lilian Turner (Lillian, Lilly, Lily) who was born 1892-5 on the 1901 census.
Her father was called William Turner, he was a gardener, and her mother was called Harriott.
They were in Shropshire, or surrounding areas.
Thank you.

Hi Pettsey - if you have her on the 1901, born after 1891 - do you want her parents tracked back in the census years ?
Oh, sorry - misunderstood - will try and find them now in 1901

Hi Newfy Thank you for your help.
Her middle name is May, Lilian May Turner. I think Lilian had one "L" Although she could be down as Lily
I would be happy if you could maybe find her parents in 1891, before Lilian was born. I do not know of any other siblings, so there may be some in 1891.
Thank you.

Hi Pettsy.
I would tend to go with Newfys lot that he found in Shrewsbury in 1901 even if it did say that william was a railway worker,
on the 1891 census harriet gives her age as 29, thus born 1863,
Harriet ann rogers birth Shrewsbury March 1863 6a 691
Marriages
Mar 1882 Harriet ann rogers Atcham 6a 1045 Mar 1882 William turner Atcham 6a 1045
Might be worth looking at, I cannot find a William married to harriet who is a gardener around Shrewsbury, Im guessing you got williams occupation off Lillians mar/cert, Is it possible he had left the railway by then and was looking for a quiter life.
again I am most prob miles out
Pete

If looking for 1901 - don't search on Lillian - the family are on 2 pages with name variations - but I think this is the lot that Newfy found

I assume Ellen is Nellie, Thomas was not in your list & perhaps Sid is the youngest. Quite a family Your nan's sister probably knew most of them. She should have lots of most useful information for you. I knew most of my G aunts but rarely talked to them about family - much regretted now, of course.
good luck with the searching

I am not sure if it is William father, it may even be his grandfather.
William was born in 1860, and Harriet in 1863. William senior was born in 1804, more likely to be the grandfather, what do you think? Once I order Williams birth cert, I will get parents names.
