Hi,
I have Matthew Curry (Currey) and Anne with children born in Gwinnear from 1801 & I am looking for their marriage. I should be very grateful if someone would be able to look this up for me & provide me with any information.

woops seems they had Elizabeth bap 25 Jan 1801 William 23 JUN 1805, Anne 25 dec 1807, Mary 4 Mar 1810, Henry 24 jan 1813, Nicholas 27 Jan 1815,
Samuel 9 Aug 1818 the last three in Philack C023191 1775-1875
Surely they didn't have a baby bapt at their wedding I think the patron entry for the marriage will need checking carefully the baptisms are register transcripts but the Gwinwear marriages aren't done

Matthew and Elizabeth had 5 ch in Philack Mary ann 9 Mar 1823, Matthew 30 Oct 1826, Elizabeth 30 Dec 1827 not sure about 2 more 1835 and 37
seems a big gap unless they went somewhere else in between what do you think Osprey?

Hi,
You are always so quick off the mark, I can't keep up!
I have the births in Gwinnear from the IGI & Phillack from the OPC, all stating parents as Matthew & Ann. I assumed that the marriage would be in Gwinnear as this was where the fist births took place.

Hi Fizzix .
From what you have given us it looks like the Matthew I have given on the 1841 (reply 8)is the one you are talking about notice yours is 74 in 1851 and the one I have is 64 in 1841 so a good match I think. H0107 143 Phillack
Elizabeth in 1841 is given as 35 so would have been born 1801-1806 (41 ages were rounded to nearest 5 years down) So she looks like Matthew and Ann's daughter Now Samuel would be born 1809-1814 but I still think he is Matthew/Ann's there were a lot of strange records of ages on the 1841census LoL So we need a Matthew about 1777 St Hilary
That is easy he's in Family Search P020981 bap 29 Apr 1777 to William/Mary Curry

Had a quick look William/Mary had 7 ch in St Hilary there are 2 named Nicholas baptized Feb and May 1775 you would need to look at the entries for these it is probably a private bapt (child probably not thought likely to survive bap at home at time of birth) and then received in church later. Can't see any obvious William/Mary marriages
