Sorry to keep asking where places are but I live along way from Suffolk and I am hopeless at reading maps, could any tell me where Risby is, is it near Great Saxham, Barrow or Gazeley and also does Risby have a church, many, many thanks to everyone who reads this request.

Hi
I saw you earlier post about Great Saxham and asked my hubby (who drives around Suffolk more then me) if there was a church. He initially said yes but then qualified it with "or is that Risby? I never can tell where one ends and the other starts!" so I think that answers your question about whether the two are close.  Grin

Susan the main road,  the A14 now divides the Saxhams from Risby

Here is the church on Simon's web site
http://www.simonknott.co.uk/suffolkchurches/risby.htm

The village is now also known for
http://www.risbybarn.co.uk/main.htm

You can buy an A3 sheet of paper which has all the parishes in Suffolk on a map of the county
from Suffolk Record office - I have one by my side, also one showing the county in 1885 which has all the counties and the Hundreds marked clearly.
They were about 50p each, plus postage if you live a long way from the SRO.  I think they may have gone up slightly since I bought mine  Wink
