well it was on a passenger list...SS Caroline landing at Port Adelaide South Australia in 1855. I found 3 references to a Bexball Beane from Yorkshire in ancestry.com. But to get further info I had to invest $200 bucks and I can't afford it.
But yes an unusual name which you would think would make it easier

Nothing on 1851 census for East Yorkshire.

Port Adelaide. the ship would have landed at a pier off shore. There is a pier there now with railway line.
