father was joesph baker from bristol and was a equestrian / circus performer
mother was elizabeth HuhHuh dob1855

There is only one 3yr old Joseph Baker living in  Devon in 1901:
Joseph Baker      3     Holywell Lake Som     Devon     Burlescombe
and only this older Joseph living in Burlescombe
Joseph Baker      28     Wellington Som     Devon     Burlescombe     Blacksmith.
There are no Elizabeth Bakers living in Burlescombe.
You would need to visit www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk  to check if they are a family.

I'm assuming that you did mean 1881, since you say age 3, b 1878.
