1891 census please - Francis John Hampden

Hi there,

I wonder whether anyone could help me please.

I am looking for Francis John Hampden.

He married Clara Hannah Bennett in Dec quarter 1894 Medway.

In 1901 he is aged 32 (which would make his year of birth c1869), but down as being born in Guernsey. As yet I have been unable to find his birth in Guernsey, but I have posted in 'Channel Islands' section.
However, I have found a Francis Hampden born Newington Dec 1868.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I wondered if details from the marriage may help but, unfortunately, there are no details recorded for his father Undecided

Thanks for looking Casalguidi,

I'm hoping that if I can find him on the 1891 census it might give me a clue as to where he was living before he married, Guernsey or Kent.

I have checked for 1881 and can only find Hampdonne's, yet Francis and John seem to be quite common christian names.

I'll keep hunting!!! Roll Eyes
