Ive hit the proverbial wall, wondering if someone out there can shed some light.
I have always had difficulty with one particular branch of my tree, the White family from East London. I thought I had the father Thomas and his wife Letitia with their children Thomas, William and George. All this information I traced through the 1841 census and the IGI. The information adds up however Im not 100% sure of Thomas and Letitias marriage date of 1818 - they would have been close to 40 odd by that point with all their children born and toddlers by then. The IGI has their marriage date as 1818 where Pallots is for 1805. Anyway that is not my dilemma.
Recently I have been searching through One World Tree family tree search and I came across this White family on there - its a 'Community' tree. Now, there are a further 4 children in this family - one of whom is married to another branch of the same tree! I know that One World Tree can sometimes link people up with the same surname but I went to the LDS site to look up the 'extra' children and all of them are born within a few years of eachother and in the same parish - and all have the same parents. Well, same named parents anyway.
How can I possibly confirm (or very nearly confirm) that this family is related to one another as I know how fairly common the surname White is. Do I just go down to my local LDS centre and ask them to get certain films/fiches in or is that info basically the same as it is on the actual site online?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
